Been very busy lately and when I get home all I want is a cup of tea and my bed, but I manage to complete a 2 page LO tonight still working on my mum's album. For the first page, I use the sketch from Capture these Sketches #29

The second page was done using the sketch from Creative Scrappers #97

Still working on my mum's album, so using the new sketch from creative scrapper #96, I did one more LO

Then since I am way behind on my son's album and the fact the he turned 19 today, I decided to add a page to his album and ended up doing 2 when I found the beautiful 2 page sketch posted by Pam over the  The Scrapbook Challenges Sketch 190

Queen/Mother

My mum is turning 70 next month and I have been working on an album for her, well I haven't gone very far since I noticed today that I only had 2 LO in her album, do in an effort to catch up I did 2 LO today using 2 different sketch for 2 different challenges for a 2 pager. This is heavy on the inque board, I love using them, the PP is American Craft, flowers were cut using my bigshot.

Indoor Pony

Really needed a stress release after work today, so decided to work on The Scrappiest Sketch Challenge #54, I remember when my son came home after this picture was taken, how excited he was about the pony indoor. The Challenge on the Practical Scrapper is use Chalk or Ink so I will be submitting this LO for that too. The Inqueboards are painted with the Paintbox pigment ink scarlet and Momento dew drop rich cocoa, the edge of the scalloped circle is held down with Studio G glitter glue,cardstock are inked with momento dew drop rhubarb stalk and rich coca, and the PP is Colorbok.

I am working on an album for my mum as a surprise for her 70th birthday, she loves butterfly so using sketch #92  from Creative Scrapper and lots of butterflies I did page 2 of her album. This will also be submitter at Flutter by Wednesday since we are still in an open week. Don't forget to stop by both blogs to see the beautiful DT inspirations.

Really Happy

The Friday Sketch at Practical Scrapper is below, I had this torn picture that I have been looking for the right LO for and this was just perfect. I was able to use the use the 2.25x3.00 oval on my Fislars tempelate to cut out a decent picture and then I just cut out different oval sizes using the template and glue together using foam dot to give it a 3d effect. The PP is American Craft amplified.

Irish 4 a day

My family have already celebrated every holiday in one fashion or the other, and St Patrick's day is one of our favorite just because everything gets colored green for the fun of it, so using Melissa's sketch (okay started out with the sketch )and free digital at Paper Popsicle project theme was St Patrick's Day, I created an Irish LO for my son, he is born in March so everything in March is celebrated. He was only one in this picture, this year he will be 19, so I guess I am a tad behind.

I will also be submitting this project for Lexi's Creations Challeneg #8 - Anything goes, Flutter by Wednesday - Open need a butterfly, fairy or angel, there is a butterfly by each pot.

For the ScrapRoom week 7 challenge I dug out a picture of my son Michael, he loves to draw and color then and between the 2 of us we still spent a lot of Money at hobby stores since he still loves to color and draw.

Arabian Night LO 1

Using the sketch from Priscillastyles Midnight Madness #41

 came up with a LO for one of the Arabian Night Picture, the 2 PP are scrap paper left over from a previous paper, flowers are M Flowershop.

To Love and Be Loved

Simon Says 3 embellishments (Ribbon, Chipboard flower and brad), 2 PP and 1 image for the Happy Hello Hop and Recipe Challenge, so using Sketch #91 from Creative Scrappers, I attempted Simon's recipe.

No More Snow

Been having so much working with digi images and making cards that I haven't done a LO in a while but today using Capture these Sketch #5 Sneezy Sketch which is part of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarf Challenge for this month, I made a LO of my son, I guess reflecting how we are all feeling about the none stop snow we have been getting, I believe Hawaii is the only state currently without snow.

Practical Scrapper's Challenge this week is to use a die cut machine so using the Bigshot and the Sizzix Flowers and Vines decorative strip I made some leis for Paoa Kahanamoku, many people have been to Waikiki beach, taken a picture by the statue and still don't know who he is, now you do, so next you are in  Waikiki don't forget to give him a lei. Also going to enter this in the Scraproom Blog Challenge - Lots of flowers and in Flutter by Wednesdays - Butterflies or Fairy in project

 

Butterflies were made using Sizzix Butterflies and Vines decorative strip.

So after making my first card yesterday, I think I am now hooked and will be doing more.

I completed my sketchy Thursdays challenge today since that is due tomorrow, this had circle in them but instead I cut 6x6 PP using Kirigami since I am way behind with my practice, I think they turned out okay so far I think the spider fold is the easiest.The PP is inque boutique Out of this world 6x6 paper, alpha is unknown and the My boy is Cosmo Criket.

Stopped by Tuesday Morning after the Movies yesterday, my son was off of school for Teacher's Professional Day, we went over to the CineMark and saw the Book of Eli. It was a very good movie even though I know the reviews were mixed but you have to have patience till the end because that is when you really get it, it is also one of those movies that you need to watch more that once to truly understand.
At Tuesday Morning found K&I Bloom paper that I have been wanting for $3 and 16 pack of Angela Ash Alphas this sold originally at QVC for $3.99, 4 different colors (silver, black, gold and clear), American Craft eternal love pp for $2 (25 count) and they also have this cute little tin collection of Making Memories flowershop for $2. I spoke to the store manager and she said they have a warehouse full of scrapbooking stuff and they don't officially come out until the 2/2.

Finished up Sketch 182 for The Scrapbooking Challenge, which is also the start of my son's graduation album. He picked out the PP himself and I just had to make it work, but it ended up being a beautiful paper from DCWV, I really am beginning to like the DCWV line, very versatile to work with. The Chipboard star is painted inqueboard which I absolute love and the ribbon is Martha Stewart Putty Walnut which is reversible.
