Thank you

Made a quick thank you card for my girlfriend, no matter what is going on  in my life she is always there and I try to thank her once in a while so as not to take our friendship for granted. I will be submitting this card for the Paper Sundaes Challenge #5 - A Glittery Spring  there is glitter on the flower and shoe, this was also my first attempt at water coloring, a lot harder than I was expected but will keep practicing. Tellen's Place

Okay I got to Tellen's place while blog hopping and immediately fell in love with the challenge and not only do I get a free digi (wasn't quite sure initially what this was, since most people normally say they are digi scrapping, so many scrapbooking lingo to keep straight) to play with but I also get to play tic-tac-toe.

Since I have never painted a digi before I made 4 copies, I had some Studio G fresh chalk that I bought from J when they were on sale for $0.25 didn't know what I was going to do with them or what you did with them but I bought them any way, my reason was they were cheap and in scrapbooking section so I should need them. I had a hard time getting the skin tone they way I wanted after 2 tries got the skin somewhat right but then I had nothing to get the shade of the hair anywhere close to where I wanted which result in a trip to M since I had a 50% off coupon (probably just an excuse). In the art section I picked up a box of 100 Fibracolor Markers for the grand price of $12 after discount I felt they were worth a short and the colors worked beautifully, did not soak through the paper and went on smoothly.
I had the coloring about where I wanted (well to the best of my minimal artistic ability anyway) so I decided to cut it out (just love to cut things out with my cute little Cutter Bee scissor, this is a must have for any crafter) but accidentally cut the jump rope by the loop which now meant I was picking ribbon, so go down or across. I had no clue what dew drop was, did a goggle search and still wasn't sure so when down, ribbon-punch-button. For some reason, I couldn't figure out what punch was, even though a had  my row of punches looking right at me then I finally had a light bulb moment. So decided on the Martha Stewart landscape punch which I bought from M on clearance but never used. So punch is set, ribbon is a go and my digi is painted looking pretty with a button as a buckle so ended up with this hope you like it. Also submitting this card for the ABC-Challenge blog for N= New digi, punch, chalk & color pen and Creative Belli Blog - Ribbon use for the jump rope.

So now that I have done 2 cards, I am absolutely in love with making them, so will definitely be doing more.

Thanks for stopping by.
