With Dad

After my 6 miles run this morning and cor workout, I sat down to d 2 quick projects before heading to Columbus for the Arnold Classic (Body Building and fitness is another passion of mine and I look forward to this event every year) .

The first project I worked on was an hello card for a friend , using the beautiful sketch from Mojo Monday and the free digi image from Robyn's Fetish. Well, my water coloring still leave a lot to be desire but I'll keep  working on it.

I will also be submitting this card for the Lexi's creations #8 (anything goes) and Stamp, Scrap & Doodle Saturdays #30 (open)

For the second project, I use the Sketch Friday sketch at Practical Scrapper to make the second page of a LO I did for the Twisted Sketch wood challenge. When I did the first layout, I thought I had 2 pages of the PP, but when I went to do page 2 couldn't find the PP, so I have been trying to figure out how to the make page 2 work and this sketch seems to work just fine.

Really Happy

The Friday Sketch at Practical Scrapper is below, I had this torn picture that I have been looking for the right LO for and this was just perfect. I was able to use the use the 2.25x3.00 oval on my Fislars tempelate to cut out a decent picture and then I just cut out different oval sizes using the template and glue together using foam dot to give it a 3d effect. The PP is American Craft amplified.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Challenge #7 at Tellen's Place is Anything goes but you also got a free beautiful Tellen Design  image to use if you want, so I decided to use the image and make a St. Patrick's day card for my girlfriend. Don't forget to stop over at Tellen's Place to see all the beautiful image from the DTs and also get your free image. I also ended up using the last free image I got from Paper Popsicles and this week Challenge at The Practical Scrapper is stamp, I will turn this card in for both of them.
I tried water coloring again with the dress, I think I am slowly getting there and the background is from a colorbok sticker packaging, I think I bought the stickers really for the packaging and it worked great for this card.

The Irish Blessing on the card reads (had to look for the one that says heart since she had those in the basket):

May you always have
Walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your hearts might desire!

Practical Scrapper's Challenge this week is to use a die cut machine so using the Bigshot and the Sizzix Flowers and Vines decorative strip I made some leis for Paoa Kahanamoku, many people have been to Waikiki beach, taken a picture by the statue and still don't know who he is, now you do, so next you are in  Waikiki don't forget to give him a lei. Also going to enter this in the Scraproom Blog Challenge - Lots of flowers and in Flutter by Wednesdays - Butterflies or Fairy in project

Butterflies were made using Sizzix Butterflies and Vines decorative strip.

So after making my first card yesterday, I think I am now hooked and will be doing more.

This is the Practical Scappers Friday Sketch, the PP is really hard to work with, actually I think the whole kit is hard to work with, the PP are double sided but they have the same pattern on both side. PP Poppy Ink, alphas Angelas Ash, inqueboard.
You can see my Christmas Cactus in bloom in the back, tends to bloom year round so most like the location, had it for about 7 years now.

Finish up the LO for the Two Peas Pattern Paper Class , using it for The ScrapRoom week 4 Challenge and also the Practical Scrapper PP challenge. This was a lot of cutting but it was a fun LO to do.

The PP is K&I Bloom really love the paper, the flowers in the heart all came from 1 sheet of PP including the strip below, so the whole PP look like the strip. There is an inqueboard heart shape below the flowers that outline the heart and the rest was just filled in, the butterfly also came from a sheet in that kit, the alphas are Bubblegum Shoe box thickers.

Stopped over at Tuesday Morning on the way from home today and they had two new scrapbooking kit one was a Brenda Pinnick for $14.99 this is an amazing kit previously from QVC the album alone is worth the cost not to talk of the paper and embellishments. The second kit is by Poppy Ink also from QVC for $9.99

This LO for Scrap a Little and Practical Scrapper is finally complete, for Scrap a little the challenge sounded easy use pink, blue, brown and the word new. Had the picture I wanted right away but finding the right combo of pbb was hard, most of my initial LO looked horrible but finally settle on this one, I think it worked out okay. I love the blue flowered PP, it is part of the Colorbok everyday memory kit, the chipboard are inqueboard think I have a boat load of these things and I think I now have a better way of painting them in, the flowers are Making Memories Flowershop and the alphas are unknown. Would see if I can get a better picture during the day, my schedule has been so hectic. This is my sister's wedding and it is the blending of 2 families. Practical Scrapper was use a PP.
