Let's Ride

I was able to get 2 projects done after work today, I was so stress after being in meetings all day and this was just what the doctor ordered.

The Scraproom blog had a beautiful sketh for week 11 Challenge and I couldn't wait to use it. I will also be submitting this LO for my second entry at The Practical Scrappers - Use Chipboard

Then for the second project, I use the free digi image from A Gem of a challenge but then forgot to use the sketch provided by Janet, just went about trying to use up scraps and I thought the cutout square was perfect as a frame for the heart.

I will also be sub, itting this card for Crafty Creations #50 - Spots and dots,  Creative Card Crew #46 going Dotty, Flutter by Wednesdays #101 Green + Butterfly and Cupcake Craft #82 Going Green

So I went ahead and made another project using the beautiful Moosetrack Monday Freebie from Paper Popsicles and the sketch from A Gem of a  Challenge to make another card

Filled with Joy

Using the sketch from Clearly Delightful, photo inspiration from Flutter by Wednesday and Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge inspiration of expression of Joy or Joyfulness in the Lord I made the following card.

Sentiments at the bottom reads: The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy. Psalm 126:3

Also, I got my RAK from Melissa at Paper Popsicle for being the February winner, I was so excited to get it so fast. Please stop on by at the Paper Popsicle, the challenges are fun and M always have lots of digital templates and freebies.

Fun in the Sun/SSCC #28

Over at Paper Popsicle for the first challenge in March (Moosetrack Monday sketch Challenge) we had to think Spring, being in Ohio it will take a lot of imagination to come up with spring right now but I found some beautiful  pictures of my son that at least warm my heart. Don't forget to stop by at the Paper Popsicle blog to get your free Moosetrack Monday Freebie before they are back in the store.

For Stamping Sister's in Christ Challenge #28 - Colossians 3:17, this is an open challenge but to be done with a prayerful and thankful heart.  I use this free image from Jennie Baer at Homeberries this is actually a stitching pattern but it works great for the card.

Just like running, scrapbooking and card making calms my mind and renew my spirit, with running I say a prayer for each step I am able to take and I am thankful for the joy and peace it brings. With Crafting, I am so thankful for the joy of being like a child to be able to create, get messy and sticky and not worry about the problems of the world or the responsibility of adulthood, it is always at this times that I always remember that I have a father that loves me no matter what. I am definitely blessed and loved.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Challenge #7 at Tellen's Place is Anything goes but you also got a free beautiful Tellen Design  image to use if you want, so I decided to use the image and make a St. Patrick's day card for my girlfriend. Don't forget to stop over at Tellen's Place to see all the beautiful image from the DTs and also get your free image. I also ended up using the last free image I got from Paper Popsicles and this week Challenge at The Practical Scrapper is stamp, I will turn this card in for both of them.
I tried water coloring again with the dress, I think I am slowly getting there and the background is from a colorbok sticker packaging, I think I bought the stickers really for the packaging and it worked great for this card.

The Irish Blessing on the card reads (had to look for the one that says heart since she had those in the basket):

May you always have
Walls for the wind,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you,
And all your hearts might desire!

Irish Blessing

Using the card template and the free digital image from Paperpopsicles I made my son's St. patrick's Day card. I was looking for something different to make for him and this was just perfect. I tried 8x8 paper in my printer for the first time and it worked, so this came as smaller than I wanted but it is still perfect and I now know I can print 8x8 and stop waiting 8x11s. I tried watercoloring again and I think I did a much better job this time, as you can see I use left over scrap from the last LO I did.

The inside of the card reads, May the saddest day of your future be no worse than the happiest day of your past

Irish 4 a day

My family have already celebrated every holiday in one fashion or the other, and St Patrick's day is one of our favorite just because everything gets colored green for the fun of it, so using Melissa's sketch (okay started out with the sketch )and free digital at Paper Popsicle project theme was St Patrick's Day, I created an Irish LO for my son, he is born in March so everything in March is celebrated. He was only one in this picture, this year he will be 19, so I guess I am a tad behind.

I will also be submitting this project for Lexi's Creations Challeneg #8 - Anything goes, Flutter by Wednesday - Open need a butterfly, fairy or angel, there is a butterfly by each pot.
